The proud flapping of the wings, the piercing gaze of the wise eyes on the tanned face, the Indian headband with feathers — this is an Indian owl, an incarnate reminder of old America, times of Indian wars and Native American friendship. This is our America, and without Native American history, its history will not be complete. Let’s make the Native American Owl with my free pattern and start preparing to the autumn’s holidays!

Assembling

Sew the eyes with yellow color yarn. And embroider some stitches with orange color yarn to make the beak:

Sew the feather at the center of the head. Sew the headband with orange color yarn.

Now join your two “owl” parts wrong sides together. Try to line up them up so they match. You are going to sc around the outside of them to attach them and you want to them to be perfectly lined up. Now stick your hook through both sides and pull the yarn through and sc with the brown color yarn.

Sc each stitch of both sides around. Make 2 sc on the corners of owl’s ears and on the bottom corners.

Continue sc around. But leave a hole to stuff the owl with toy filling firmly. And then finish to join parts. Break yarn and fasten off. Your owl is ready!
