I promised to show you more owls’ patterns. That’s one of my favourite – the Spring Owl. She is so bright and colorful and wears the circlet of flowers.
That’s sleeping owl and her eyes are closed. She looks like she tired from walking in the summer forest and went to sleep under the blossom tree.

Time to decorate our wings. I used slip stiches.
And I ended up with that:
Eyes.
Round 1: Magic ring with the white color. 6 sc, ss, ch.
Round 2: 12 sc (2 sc in each st), ss, ch.
Round 3: 24 sc (2 sc in each st), ss, ch.
Round 4: 36 sc (*2 sc, 1 sc* repeat 12 times), ss, break yarn, fasten off.
Nose.
Round 1: Magic ring with the yellow color, 6 sc, ss, ch.
Round 2: 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, *1 sc 1 dc 1 sc* in the same st, 1 sc, 2 sc, ss, break yarn, fasten off.
Butterfly.
Magic ring. 3 ch, 4 dtr, 3 ch.
ss, 3 ch, 4 dtr, 3 ch, ss.
2 ch, 3 tr, 2 ch, ss.
2 ch, 3 tr, 2 ch, ss. Break yarn and fasten off. Using the ends let’s give the butterfly shape.
Tie the ends at the back side. Then make the butterfly body wrapping the thread of yellow color several times across. Do the butterfly antennae with the help of slip stitches.
You can use the chart below for making the butterfly:
Assembling
Let’s put all the parts together and sew them to the front of our owl.
Now join your two “owl” parts wrong sides together. Try to line up them up so they match. You are going to sc around the outside of them to attach them and you want to them to be perfectly lined up. Now stick your hook through both sides and pull the yarn through and sc with the green color.
Sc in each stitch space of both sides around. Make 2sc on the corners of owl’s ears and on the bottom corners.
But leave a hole to stuff the owl with toy filling firmly. And then finish to join parts. Break yarn and fasten off. You owl is ready!
Circlet of flowers.
Now let’s crochet small flowers of different colors.
Round 1 (first and only): Magic ring, *2 ch, 2 dc, 2ch, ss* repeat from * to * 5 times. Break yarn, fasten off and pull tight.
Make 5 flowers of different colors. Then let’s make the foundation for our circlet of flowers:
Chain 28, turn, sc all chain stitch. Break yarn and fasten off.
Sew the flowers using needle and yarn of red color.
