That’s the time of roses, of spring and of course of new bright bags! I make this bag for my yellow dress and absolutely in love with it! Happy to share the pattern with you today.

I called it Three Roses Bag 🌹🌹🌹 because of 2 reasons. First – it is decorated with 3 big roses. And second –  you can find 3 different sizes and kinds roses on it.

Stitching.

Now join your two bag’s parts wrong sides together. Try to line up them up so they match. You are going to sc around the outside of them to attach them and you want to them to be perfectly lined up. Now stick your hook through both sides and pull the yarn through and sc each stitch.

Making stitching on the top flap insert the small plastic detail for inflexibility (about 8,5 inches (21,5 cm) in length and 1 inch (2,5 cm) wide.).

collage33

Make this in the place of attaching the handle to the bag. It is marked on the photo below with a white arrow. Make 3 sc on the corners. Break yarn and fasten off.

Make some stitches from both sides to fix the detail in place. But you can skip this stage and don’t insert the plastic detail if it’s difficult for you.

Rose embroidery.

Thread your needle with yarn through the center to the edge. I’ve used a yarn needle with large eye. Create the base of the rose: first thread the yarn through the middle then back through the edge. Do this to make 5 legs roughly equal distance apart.

collage25

Wrap the yarn over and under each leg, pulling tight enough for the yarn to keep its shape. Make sure not to distort the crocheted foundation too much.

21

Over, under, over, under. The rose keeps growing!

When the yarn covers the legs at the edges it’s complete.

collage26

Make 7 roses.

collage27

Sew the handle. Insert silicone hose in the handle and sew it. I used a Food Grade Silicone Hose with a diameter of 0,4 inches (1 cm).

collage28

Then sew the handle to the bag and sew the magnetic closure to the bag.
