This and other Mouse ornaments are the perfect, handmade addition for you to work up and add to your Christmas decorations. Children will love them from year to year and can enjoy decorating the tree since they aren’t breakable!

You can use the ornament for making the Disney pin, magnet, hairpin or backpack clip. You can also use it for decoration of Christmas tree, tag for suitcase in Disney cruise, jewelry (using thinner yarn), bookmarks.

Materials:

  • Any cotton 100% Weight/Yardage 50g/137yds: Cascade Ultra Pima Fine, 100% cotton or Schachenmayr Catania, etc.
  • Size D/3 (3 mm) crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

Abbreviations (US terms):

ch – chain

st st – slip stitch

sc – single crochet

dc – double crochet

sk – skip

st(s) – stitch(es)

Instructions.

Instructions.

Head.

Round 1: Magic ring with white color, 6 sc in ring and pull tight. (6 sts)

Round 2: 2 sc in each chain stitch around. (12 sts)

Round 3: 2 sc in each chain stitch around. (24 sts). Move marker.

Round 4: sc in each chain stitch around. (24 sts). Move marker.

Round 5: *2 sc in next st, 1sc in next st*repeat around. (36 sts). Move marker.

Round 6: sc in each chain stitch around. (36 sts). Move marker.

Round 7: *2 sc in next st, 1sc in next st*repeat around. (54 sts). Change color. Move marker.

Round 8: with black color yarn sc in each chain stitch around. (54 sts). Break yarn and fasten off.

Make 2 heads.

Ears.

Round 1: Magic ring with black color, 6 sc in ring and pull tight. (6 sts)

Round 2: 2 sc in each chain stitch around. (12 sts)

Round 3: 2 sc in each chain stitch around. (24 sts)

Round 4: sc in each chain stitch around. (24 sts)

Then sc in next 5 sts and ss. Break yarn and fasten off.

Hat.

Sew the ears to the heads with 4 sts each using black color yarn and leaving 7 sts between ears.

Row 1: Sc with white color in the same st that you finished sew the 1st ear, sc in the next 7 sts (that you left between 2 ears) , then make the last sc in the same st that you start sew the 2nd ear. (9 sc) Change the color.

Row 4: With red color yarn sc in the 2ndst, sc in the next 7 sts. Turn.

Row 5: Ch 1, 10 tr in the 3rd st. Ss in the last st. Break yarn and fasten off.

PomPom

 Make a small yarn PomPom with white color yarn.

Scarf.

First part.

Row 1: Ch 18 with green color yarn, hdc in the 3rd st from the hook. Hdc in the next st till the end. Break yarn.

Second part.

Row 1: Ch 16 with green color yarn, hdc in the 3rd st from the hook. Hdc in the next st till the end. Break yarn.

Heart.

Row 1:Magic ring with red color yarn, ch 3, 1 dc in the ring, chain 2 and sc, ch 2, 1 dc in the ring, chain 3 and sc.Ch 2, insert the hook  back into the center of the base st, wrap yarn and draw the yarn through all the loops on the hook.

Then ss in the first chain that you made into the Magic ring in the beginning of your work. Pull tight. Break yarn and fasten off.

Wings.

Sc with black color in the same st that you finished sew the 2nd ear, sc in the next 10 sts, ch 2 and turn, sc in the next 2 sts, ss in the next 2 sts. Break yarn.

 Turn your work on the wrong side and repeat the same on the other side.

Paws.

With yellow color yarn skip 2 sts from the end of wing and sc in the 3rd st, skip next st and 6 dc  in the 2nd st. Skip 1 st and sc in the next st. Break yarn. 1st paw is ready.

Then for the 2nd paw:

skip 1 st and sc in the 2nd st, skip next st and 6 dc  in the 2nd st. Skip 1 st and sc in the next st. Break yarn.

 Assembling.

Sew the pompom with white color yarn. And scarf with green color yarn as you can see at the picture below. Sew the heart with red color yarn.  

So you have 2 heads with ears: one head is with decoration, other is plain. Sew 2 heads together using needle and black color yarn.
