Holly Leaves with Berries Free Crochet Pattern

Yarn:  Use Medium weight yarn, such as ZZ Twist Yarn – small amount of white, green and red color.

Notions: Scissors, yarn needle.

Crochet hook: 7 (4,5 mm)

Crochet abbreviations:

Ch – chain
Sc – single crochet
Ss – slip stitch
St(s) – stitch(s)
Dc – double crochet

Instructions.

Row 1: ch 10, hdc in 3^rd st, hdc in the same st, *dc in the next st, 2 dc in the next st*repeat twice, dc in the next st, hdc in the next st, sc in the next st, ch, sc in the same st,

hdc in the next st, dc in the next st, *2 dc in the next st, dc in the next st*repeat twice, 2 hdc in the same st, ss in the 2^nd ch.

Row 2: (working in the back loops only) *2 ss, sc, ch 2,

The time to make picot. Insert your hook through the top and side ‘leg’ of the sc below the chain stitches.  The pictures below shows where to insert your hook. Now wrap the yarn around your hook and pull through all the loops on your hook to finish the slip stitch.  Picot complete.

ss* repeat 3 times.

Ss in the 5 stitches, *sc in the next st, ch 2, and ss into the sc below the chain (making a picot), ss in the next 2 sts* repeat twice, sc in the next st, ch 2, and ss into the sc below the chain (making a picot), ss in the next 3 sts, sc, ch 2, and ss into the sc below the chain (making a picot), ss in the same st. Break yarn.

Use slip stitches for decoration the leaves.

Make 2 leaves.

For berries.

Row 1: Magic ring with red color yarn, 6 sc into the ring, ss in the 1^st sc. Pull tight.(6)

Row 2-3: sc in the each st around.(6)

Row 4: *2 sc * around. Break yarn.(3) Make 3 berries.

Sew the leaves together. Then sew the berries.

Sew holly leaves to the hat or make the brooch.
