You have already seen my owls and mouses. But I have a collection of hearts patterns too! So I want to start sharing them with you. Today I want to show you my first heart. It’s very easy so even beginners will be able to make them. Such heart will be a great gift for all beloved people in your life!

PATTERN.
Materials:
- Any cotton 100% Weight/Yardage 50g/137yds: Cascade Ultra Pima Fine, 100% cotton or Schachenmayr Catania, etc.
- Size D/3 (3 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
Abbreviations (US terms):
ch – chain
st st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
sk – skip
st(s) – stitch(es)

Instructions.
Round 1: Chain 20, 2dc in the same third st, 5 dc, 5 dc together, 5 dc, 5 dc in the last st. Turn round on 180 degrees and continue with 3 dc in the same st as previous 5 dc
7 dc, 5 dc in the next st, 7 dc, 2 dc in the last st, ss with new color. Break yarn and fasten off.
Round 2: Chain 3, dc in the same st, 2 dc in the next st
3 dc, 5 dc together,
3 dc,*2 dc in the next st* repeat 7 times, 9 dc, 5 dc in the next st, 9 dc, *2 dc in the next st* – repeat 3 times, ss with new color. Break yarn and fasten off.
Round 3 : Chain 3, 2 dc in the next st, 2 dc in the next st, 1 dc, 2 dc in the next st, 1 dc, 2 dc in the next st, 3 dc, 3 dc together,
2 dc, *2 dc in the next st, 1 dc * repeat 7 times, 10 dc, 5 dc in the next st, 11 dc, *2 dc in the next st, 1 dc * – repeat 3 times, ss.
Break yarn and fasten off. Make another side just like the one you just made. I chose to do the second solid color. Time to decorate our heart. I used slip stiches as you can see at the picture below.
Now the time to sc around the outside of them. Join your two “Heart” parts wrong sides together. Try to line up them up so they match. You are going to sc around the outside of them to attach them and you want to them to be perfectly lined up.
Now stick your hook through both sides and pull the yarn through (like pictured below) and sc.
Sc in each st of both sides around. But leave a hole to stuff the heart with toy filling firmly. And then finish to join parts.
Break yarn and fasten off.
